TrueScripts Launches PriceProtector+, powered by GoodRx To Help Lower Out-of-Pocket Drug Costs
By Ali Goodwin 18 Aug, 2023
August 2023 - TrueScripts, an Indiana-based PBM partner dedicated to delivering uncomplicated and cutting-edge prescription benefit management solutions, is proud to observe its partnership with benefits advisors and plan sponsors recently recognized by The Health Rosetta for delivering one of "America's Top 50 Health Plans." Affectionately referred to as "The Rosie Awards," this recognition serves to honor the high-performing health plans implemented by employers who are working to transform the health and wellness landscape of their businesses and communities. Enabled by the industry's leading benefits advisors and solutions partners, these health plans deliver high-quality products, services, and results to the people they serve. As a "thank you" to the clients and broker/advisor partners who have entrusted TrueScripts to serve as their PBM and help deliver a top-performing health plan, TrueScripts is extending a congratulatory gift to each organization. On behalf of their honored partners, TrueScripts will be contributing a monetary donation to local food banks in their area. "The opportunity to partner with such caring and determined organizations who put people first and do their best to deliver valuable health benefits is such a privilege for the TrueScripts team," says Ali Goodwin, TrueScripts' Director of Corporate Relations. "To provide a donation on behalf of the folks who work so hard to provide for the people who rely on them is an honor." TrueScripts' Director of Product & Market Strategy, Lisa Gish, notes that it "takes a village" to develop and deliver high-performing health plans. She says "We are so thankful for strong partners who enable us to be the best version of ourselves so that, together, we can build a better future for healthcare." Gish speculates that while advisors and solution partners are critical components to success, progress is not possible without innovative and passionate employers who put their "nose to the grindstone" while never losing sight of what really matters…their people! It's in this shared value, Gish believes, that partnerships flourish. TrueScripts' partnering honorees are: Diversified Industrial Service Company – Advisor: Josh Butler, Butler Benefits & Consulting SavATree – Advisor: David Contorno, E Powered Benefits Waterford Union High School – Advisor: Adam Berkowitz, Simpara Woodard Cleaning & Restoration – Advisor: Adam Berkowitz, Simpara

November 2022 It has come to our attention that individuals across the country are being wrongfully billed through Medicare for COVID-19 test kits by an organization known as Tru Script Pharmacy . From what we are told, the operation is working in a couple of ways: 1. Individuals are billed for and receive COVID-19 test kits to their homes from Tru Script Pharmacy without placing an order or approving any transaction. 2. Individuals sign up to receive “free” COVID-19 test kits through a Tru Script Pharmacy Facebook ad but never receive the kits and are billed through Medicare. Tru Script Pharmacy is of no affiliation to TrueScripts Management Services, and we have reported this action to the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. In the interim, we urge others to be cautious of Facebook ads and never to provide Medicare or other personal information to sources you do not know and trust. If you suspect that Medicare is being charged for an item or service you did not receive or approve of, please call this number to report suspected fraud or abuse: 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). Remember : Medicare covers the COVID-19 vaccine at no cost to you, so if anyone asks you for your Medicare Number to get the vaccine or a free COVID-19 test, it is likely a scam.

TrueScripts is excited to announce its partnership with HRD – A Leadership Development Company in Carmel, IN. The partnership will employ a program focused on building leaders by taking team members through a development process and preparing them for career growth. This program will help set up TrueScripts for future success and foster our culture of servant leadership. Investing in our people is our number one priority, which, in turn, helps us best serve our clients and members. As part of our ongoing efforts to support a communicative and collaborative environment, we recently conducted "stay interviews" to help us understand what makes team members want to stay at TrueScripts and what may make them want to leave. We received excellent feedback and found that many team members have a desire to grow and advance within the company. It was this feedback, in part, that led us to seek out a leadership development program. In our pursuit, we have found a magnificent partner in HRD and look forward to the expert guidance they will provide in strengthening our leaders and elevating our business strategy. ### About TrueScripts Management Services TrueScripts Management Services is a pharmacist-founded, fully transparent PBM that has been revolutionizing the pharmacy benefit management industry since 2014. Our mission is to build lasting relationships by providing prescription benefit management expertise at a personal and customized level to ensure optimum value at the lowest possible cost. The people we serve can rest assured in our commitment to lowering prescription drug spend, achieving clinically effective solutions, and always delivering Amazing Care - www.truescripts.com ### About HRD* At HRD, we are on a mission to improve the world, one leader at a time. We believe that the improvement of a leader comes from within, through personal development from experiencing a growth journey to change, rather than skills to be obtained through training courses. Every single leader comes to your business with their own past experiences, values, fears, and desires. To improve their mindset, to want to change, to grow and be the best leader they can be, they must be supported and understood as an individual. – www.hrdleadership.com

Gabhart Named IACC Southwest District President TrueScripts Founder and Daviess County Commissioner, Nathan Gabhart, RPh, has been named President of the Indiana Association of County Commissioners Southwest District. Gabhart’s peers elected him to represent them during the IACC’s 2021 Annual Conference last week. This nomination, however, is one of familiarity to Gabhart, who has served in several positions throughout the years, including IACC President in 2018. As district president, Gabhart will serve on the IACC’s board of directors, which determines policies and legislative goals for the association. It is this nature of focus that also drives his efforts behind TrueScripts Management Services, the prescription benefit management company he founded in 2014. Gabhart says, “I started TrueScripts in 2014 because I saw a problem. I saw patients getting beat down by the system and businesses struggling because of poor policies. I knew I had to do something. My duties as a County Commissioner, along with my past involvement as President of the Indiana Pharmacy Alliance and Community Pharmacies of Indiana, all coincide to work for the greater good of the people I serve. I pray that I can use my knowledge and expertise to make things better for those who don’t have a voice, or who maybe just don’t understand what is going on.” Gabhart plans to run for a third term as a Daviess County Commissioner next year and, alongside his TrueScripts team, will continue to lay profound groundwork for disrupting the PBM industry and reviving patient advocacy. Dean Merder
12 Aug, 2021
TrueScripts Management Services is excited to publicize the successful transition of Chief Executive Officer from Founder Nathan Gabhart, RPh, to President Dean Merder. Nathan will continue to serve on the Board of Directors alongside TrueScripts Co-Founders Kevin Messmer, J.D., and John Bell. “This fearless transition of leadership is a direct reflection of the remarkable TrueScripts team,” says Nathan. “To have the confidence to take this company that we built from scratch and pass the torch with conviction is a true testament to Dean and the entire TrueScripts team.” Nathan continues, “I want to make it very clear to our team and our stakeholders, TrueScripts is not going anywhere. We have a moral obligation that cannot be bought out. TrueScripts was born from a philosophical mission to provide truly transparent pharmacy benefit solutions. The basis of this mission is to build lasting relationships, and Dean is absolutely the best at that. My confidence in sustained success is founded in his rich history of leadership and our team’s extraordinary ability to create and deliver innovative solutions.” In September of 2018, Dean Merder was brought on as the Chief Experience Officer with rapid promotion to President in November of 2020. In these positions, Dean has served as a beacon of sorts – guiding the TrueScripts team to uphold the company’s core values - Integrity, Respect, Innovation, and Service - and project them unto the people we serve. His forward-thinking and open-minded attitude has proven to be highly successful, reflecting our client and team member retention rates that remain in the mid 90’s. “I believe that the most important aspect of my job has been and will continue to be serving as a Keeper of the Culture,” says Dean. “Nathan, Kevin, and John built a rock-solid foundation for TrueScripts, and we are well-positioned for a promising and prosperous future. It is my duty to continue guiding their creation in a way that stimulates the grit, compassion, and skill needed to make a positive impact on the lives of others. It is a privilege to lead this principled company and to build upon Nathan’s legacy. I vow to lead each day with purpose as I encourage our team to challenge the norm, empower them to push the envelope, inspire them to act with empathy, and energize them when times are weary.” Nathan’s vision of building a PBM that does things “the right way” has quickly developed into a nationwide operation, which solidifies his belief that “if you do good things, good things will happen.” Going forward, the TrueScripts innoveering team will focus on sustainable cost-saving solutions, continued client and member satisfaction, enhanced clinical outcomes, new technology services, and dedication to our team. Kindness and compassion, among others, are virtues of Amazing Care that run deep through the heart of TrueScripts. While on a day-to-day basis, it is our mission to enrich the lives of others by providing prescription benefit management services, our acts of service extend far beyond that of PBM expertise. We advocate, we serve, we pray, we promote, and we act! No matter how small the act, we spread kindness in all that we do and make it our personal mission to leave others better than we found them. During the holiday season, these acts of kindness often hold more significance than usual, as this is certainly not “the most wonderful time of the year” for all. And for those who may be struggling during the holidays, it is more critical than ever that we do our part to share kindness and joy. From the very beginning, TrueScripts has had the desire for each of our team members to experience what it is like to “pay it forward.” And so, each year, team members are given a small fund to be spent on providing Random Acts of Kindness to others throughout December. Christmas time is a very special time of year for the TrueScripts family, and our Random Acts of Kindness ventures are one of the main reasons. We truly feel that giving is better than receiving and have been blessed to provide others with kindness in the following ways this year: Leaving generous tips to the staff at local restaurants, hair salons, and more. Delivering lunches, gift baskets, flowers, and cards to healthcare staff. Purchasing Christmas gifts, school supplies, clothing, and more for children in need. Handing out Christmas cards with cash to individuals at random. Organizing private movie theater showings for special needs groups. Taping gift cards to gas pumps as a surprise to the next unsuspecting patron. Taking quarters to the laundry mat so that others may do their laundry for free. Sponsoring pet adoptions at local animal shelters. Donating supplies and/or money to a variety of non-profit organizations. Delivering hot coffee to those working out in the cold. Donating cash anonymously to families in need. And more! The world can be a dark place, but if these random acts of kindness can help alleviate burdens and lift the spirits of our neighbors in need, then we have taken a massive step in the right direction. In a world where you can be anything, be kind.

Thankful. With all of the challenges that 2020 has brought to each of us, we are thankful. The trust that our clients have put into TrueScripts enables us to serve in various ways beyond our PBM experience. As a token of our gratitude for this trust and partnership, we are honored to give back on their behalf. This year, we have partnered with the Million Meal Movement to provide over 23,000 meals to those in need. We feel the greatest need during these unprecedented times is to ensure that food is provided to our surrounding neighbors. So “THANK YOU” again to each of our partners for their continued trust. We are so grateful for this opportunity to share our #AmazingCare #MillionMealMovement
